I35W Bridge Collapse pictures taken 9/7/2007
See the progress. I was walking and started taking pictures from
the south end across the 10th Ave. bridge and then back.
Picture #13 kind of gives you the feel as to how far it fell.
They say it fell 74'...wow..ouch...A live camera caught the east side falling. They used 1/2 inch steel plates
instead of 1 inch plates to save money. In 2006, pictures show that
those thinner plates were all bent up and collapse was inevitable!
Our government hard at work protecting us...
